Sausagelinks.co.uk review
A good example of a company which sells quality products on a national scale. Westaways are Devon based sausage makers who use prime cuts of British pork, natural skins and 10 - 20% cereal to make tasty sausages.
They are widely available in Southern supermarkets (check on the website for information) and are also sold mail order (from Devonzone) and at South West food fairs. Flavours to look out for are the best selling Pork & Honey, Ginger & Leek and my favorite, the Hogs Pudding.
Customer reviews
Last Sunday (1 July 2007) I went to a barbecue - somehow the weather was perfect! - and among the traditional 'barby' fare were sausages. I'm always slightly wary of barbecued meat: Is it cooked properly and is it decent quality? I needn't have worried. The sausages were cooked to perfection AND tasted fabulous. Our host told me the sausages were in fact local (we were near Newton Abbot) and were WESTAWAYS. When I realised these superb bangers were made about 5 miles from where I live, I made a promise to myself never to eat any other sausages than these. Being a bit of a regular sausage lover, I've tried many different varieties over the years, but honestly, the Westaways ones I had last Sunday were easily the best ever. Flavour, texture, everything just perfect. If you love sausages, try these soon - perhaps at your next barbecue. I believe they're widely available in the South West, and by mail order.
