Sausagelinks.co.uk review
One of our top 10 producers. They are admired by the Scotsman and Clarissa Dickson Wright. They are third generation butchers offering a range of nearly 50 varieties plus black (and white) pudding, haggis and Lorne sausage.
Prices range from ?5.40 to ?8.60 per kg. Most have a meat content of 75% plus. Unusual varieties include Wild Boar, Port & Stilton, an Italian Luganiga made with parmesan and wine and a proper French Country. British regional sausages are also offered and being Scottish they make a number of beef sausages. English customers may notice that a number of the sausages from Crombie?s have a fine cut texture ? this is the typical Scottish style.
They offer a selection box for ?27. This includes delivery and your choice of 2.5 kg of up to 5 varieties. They have a web site but it is necessary to obtain a catalogue and order by post or phone.

Excellent shop, love the produce, shope there regularly, but Crombies need to update online facilities. Web access and ordering surely a must these days.

I was introduced to Crombies by a friend a few years ago and have been going ever since. The quality, flavour and choice is unbeatable. They are undeniably the best sausages I''ve ever tasted, and I will never eat a supermarket sausage again!
JG, Edinburgh
This is a great site for us sausage fans. When I am in the UK I always stock up at Crombies. These sausages are also popular in Holland!
DR, Amsterdam
I have just had an early dinner on my wives birthday with a haggis from Crombies. This has hit the mark with a dish that came up to all my expectations: rich, spicey and delicious along with a nice malt whisky.
DC, Edinburgh
These are fantastic sausages. Nothing like those sold in supermarkets or even your average butcher. I love the Toulouse or the Pork & Carmalised Onion the best. Smashing!
LMR, Glasgow
I had the Lamb, Garlic & Rosemary sausage in a restaurant in Edinburgh. Best sausages I have ever had!

It's not just about the sausages. A visit to Crombies is like being transported back in time, when we were more in-tune with nature and how our food is produced. The shop is a sensory overload and the service is delivered by butchers who care about food. Do yourself a favour, visit!!

Normally delighted with all Crombie's meats. Unfortunately our turkey this year was poor and not up to the usual standard. Disappointed that Crombie's have not responded to my previous e-mail.

Always visit Crombie's when up in Edinburgh and get a haggis sent to Nottingham every Burns night.
