This sausage won a bronze award at the 2003 Great Taste Award. They show that the best sausages are kept simple, ingredients are pork, leek, salt and pepper. Made with organic meat, they are glutten free and contain no chemicals. They cook well, with little fat or liquid lost during cooking. They are one of the rare sausages which manage to evoke a Sunday joint cooking. Taste is pretty good as well, a hefty dose of leaks and a close textured meaty sausage which cries out for gravy and mash. Cost is very fair 5.50 per kg. Available at the farm shop, mail order and at local food fairs (the clues in the name).
