Smoky bacon potatoes

Inspired by my favorite flavor of crisps - Walkers Smoky Bacon. We often cook these on the barbecue but they are equally good grilled.

Ingredients
500g new potatoes
3 or 4 slices of good smoked bacon
1 tablespoon French grain mustard
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped chives
Sea salt and black pepper

Method

Place the bacon and a baking tray and bake in a medium oven (190 degrees, gas mark 5) for 20 minutes until crsip (take care the bacon does not burn)
Boil the potatoes in salted water until nearly done - around 15 minutes
Crumble the bacon (and oil) into a food processor, add the mustard, olive oil and chives, blend well
Drain the potatoes and pour the bacon and mustard mixture over the hot spuds, mix gently and leave to cool
Thread the potatoes onto skewers and bbq until browned (about 10 -15 minutes), baste with the marinade during the cooking
Alternatively, spread the potatoes onto a grill pan and cook for 10 minutes, turning frequently
