Great Yorkshire pork pie, sausage and black pudding competition

West Yorkshire butchers won the 3 major awards at the largest regional competition in the country. 280 entries were judged by a team of judges led by Clarissa Dickson Wright.

The champion pie is made by George Middlemiss of Otley and the champion black pudding came from Mark Spauls Butchers of Main Street, Burley (who also came third in specialty sausage).

The champion sausage was won by Hoffman's of Wakefield which also won the thin sausage class. They will now compete in the Champion of Champions event next year. The reserve champion was last years champion, Hinchliffes Farm Shop who won the thick pork class. Best specialty sausage came from Danny's Butchers of Silsden.
