Some food sites....
Who makes the best sausages? Tell us now by voting for Britain's Best Banger! and you could win the ultimate sausage lover's day trip! Vote now! It's good to know that other sane people are stricken by the irrational desire to spend vast amounts of time and money (yes tax man) on a web site devoted to a favorite food or foodie subject. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
Home of the Pudding Club (£21 a year membership) which has over a 1,000 members and meets twice a month to discuss puddings and try several.
Biscuit Appreciation Society
An irreverent guide to all things biscuit, nice shortbread cursor.
Described as "The most memorable local eateries along the
highways and back roads of America"
A guide to American regional road food and cafes, reviews, great pictures and (my favorite feature) the prices of each dish featured.
A site all about the history of the Caesar Salad with reviews, notes on the composition of the salad and lettuce information.
Nice Cup Of Tea And A Sit Down
Tongue in cheek biscuit site with biscuit reviews, forgotten biscuits, forums, even a book!. Needs a bit more tea content, and a slice of cake wouldn't be bad.
Pork Pie Club
Home of the Pork Pie Club. Half a dozen Yorkshire men who review local pies. Being Yorkshire folk they forget that the best pies come from Melton Mowbray and Rutland (and they are hand raised and cooked without a mould!)
Any others? If so please send us the address of your favorite food site.
