Marks & Spencer Hand Linked Lincolnshire
Who makes the best sausages? Tell us now by voting for Britain's Best Banger! and you could win the ultimate sausage lover's day trip! Vote now!No doubt stung by our constructive comments, M&S have tried to redeem themselves by launching posh Lincolnshire sausages under the up market Provender label.
They cost £3.99 for 560g. I wanted to like them, but still struggled. Initial impressions are good, they look nice, plump and are clearly hand made and "knitted" in eights. (Does this mean that the rest of the range is machine made?)
They tasted ok, moist with plenty of sage, black pepper and good chunks of outdoor reared meat. Unfortunately they lost points for 2 shards of bone.
Overall an improvement and worth 6.5 on our Taste Test. (7 without the bone.)
