Yorkshire farmers Debbie and Andrew Keeble have created gourmet food heaven for beer and sausages lovers, with the launch of an authentic beer sausage made with a glug of their favourite brew.

The couple behind the Debbie & Andrew's sausage range has joined forces with iconic beer brand Newcastle Brown Ale to create a unique Pork and Ale sausage.

The Debbie & Andrew's Pork and Ale sausage has taken over a year to perfect and hundreds of beers were tried before Newcastle Brown Ale was selected for the final recipe. The basis for the sausage is lean British pork shoulder and fresh seasoning. The addition of fresh breadcrumbs soaked in Newcastle Brown Ale complements the pork and adds richness for a fuller flavour.

In a partnership that reflects the regional, North Eastern heritage of both companies, it is the first time Newcastle Brown Ale has been used in a sausage recipe and the launch coincides with the beers 80th Anniversary year.

The sausages are being made under licence from Newcastle Brown Ale. They are available from selected Morrisons stores in the North East of England from March 2007, priced £1.99 for 400g.
