www.Sausagelinks.co.uk review

product picture Available from food fairs (they seem to be at them all!), mail order or from a small farm shop. The downside of the farm shop is that it is remote and you have to negotiate nearly a mile of unmade road, 1 gate, 1 farm and 3 cow gates.

It's worth the effort because they sell an excellent range. Sausages are made on site with Gloucester Old Spot and they also sell beef, lamb and wild venison sausages. Their Cumberland sausages were highly rated in a taste test in the Independent (September 2002) scoring 17/20. They also won a Bronze award at the 2003 Great Taste Awards.

Being Lancastrians they also offer an award winning black pudding and the rarer white pudding.

Customer reviews

I tried this at a friends house together with an organic sausage. This was excellent, moist and juicy and tasted of real meat with bits of black pudding (the organic was ok but dry).
