Recommended by Glyn the VAT man who is particularly fond of their pies. He's obviously a connoisseur - they recently won the pie category at the 2004 Smithfield Q awards for a Lamb and Rosemary pie.
Greens are a Q butcher based by the Thames. Sausages are made with natural skins, flavors include Pork Originals, Pork and Leek, Pork and Sage, Pork Chilli and Apricot, Old English, QBII (rustic Italian herb), Boerwors, Pork Apple & Cider and Cumberland. They also make gluten free and cure their own bacon.
Greens are the best butcher I have ever used! Their sausages are superb and my baby loves the chipolatas. We tend to buy the more traditional ones but everything Greens do is good value and very tasty. Try their generously filled sausage rolls - you won''t regret it!

Greens are the best, better than all the rest... Seriously good sausages, sausage rolls and pies. Never tasted any better ones before. Chilli and Apricot sausages are a big hit at every BBQ, but so is everything else I have bought there. Never been disappointed.
I always bought my meat etc. at Green''s of Pangbourne when I lived in the village. I can honestly say I was always 100% happy with their products. Now that I live five miles from their shop I still buy my meat etc. from them. I shop from them with complete confidence and, as I often entertain, I feel I couldn''t manage without them as the quality of their meat gives me complete confidence.
We absolutely love their meat pies - I often buy several and keep them in the freezer. They are so tasty with a home-made flavour. I know sausage rolls are not too healthy but Green''s make the best ones I have ever tasted! Orders given at Christmas are given a personal touch and you will never be disappointed! Try their ''old-fashioned'' bacon - superb!
